Every lodge has its own private hot tub (yes, really!), where you can soak away the day's adventures while gazing at the stunning Yorkshire countryside. When the evening chill sets in, head to your personal sauna to warm up – it's absolute bliss after a long countryside walk.
We've also added outdoor showers because, well, there's something wonderfully refreshing about showering in the open air with nature all around you. Many of our guests tell us these simple pleasures become the highlight of their stay.
The best part? The peace and quiet. We're tucked away enough that you can properly switch off from the world. No traffic noise, just birdsong and maybe the occasional sheep in the distance!
We've put a lot of thought into making our lodges places you'll actually want to hang out in (not just somewhere to sleep). There's a Smart TV for movie nights, but honestly, most guests find themselves chatting, playing games, or just enjoying the views instead.
Bedroom-wise, we've kept things flexible. You'll get one proper en-suite bedroom with a king-size bed, and a second room with what we call a "zip-link" – it can be set up as another king or split into two singles, whatever works for your group. There's a lovely bathroom just across the hall from this second bedroom.
Got little ones? Just let us know, and we'll have high chairs and travel cots waiting for you. And your four-legged family members are more than welcome too – we're properly dog-friendly, not just "dogs tolerated." Free WiFi throughout means you can stay connected (or not – we won't judge if you want to hide your phones for a few days!).
If you love cooking (or even if you just need to feed the family), you'll find our kitchens a treat to use. They're properly equipped with everything you need – not just the bare minimum. Good quality pots and pans, sharp knives (a rarity in holiday rentals!), and modern appliances that actually work.
The open layout means whoever's cooking isn't banished from the conversation. Pour a glass of something nice, get dinner on the go, and chat while you prep. The dining area has plenty of space for everyone to gather round and share a meal together.
We're also just a short drive from some fantastic local producers – the cheese from the Courtyard Dairy is not to be missed, and there's great meat from the butchers in Settle if you fancy a proper Yorkshire feast.
Step outside your lodge and you're immediately surrounded by some of Yorkshire's most beautiful countryside. Each lodge has its own private patio – perfect for that first coffee of the day or a glass of wine as the sun sets. The stars out here are something else on clear nights.
We're just 3 miles from Settle, a proper Yorkshire market town with character to spare. It's got independent shops, friendly pubs, and a lively market every Tuesday. The walking around here is fantastic – straight from your doorstep into the Yorkshire Dales National Park. If you're feeling energetic, tackle the Yorkshire Three Peaks, or for something gentler, there are countless beautiful routes to discover.
We're pretty proud of our eco credentials too. All our lodges are powered by solar panels with battery storage, so you're essentially staying off-grid, but with all the modern comforts. Inside, you'll spot lots of unique furniture pieces – we've had fun hunting through local auctions for antiques and items we could upcycle, giving each lodge its own personality while being kinder to the planet.
And if you're driving an electric car, don't worry – we've got EV charging sorted. We want to make it easy for everyone to enjoy this beautiful corner of Yorkshire, whether you're heading into the Dales, across to the Forest of Bowland, or over to Morecambe Bay for a day on the beach.
